Celebrate BHM with Us! Learn how we can all support the Indianapolis-Based business: Education With An Apron
To celebrate Black History Month, we not only wanted to share stories of amazing Black women in our community but also offer our platform as a way for you to learn how you can support them, too! Meet LaNesha Tabb of Education With An Apron.
Business / Organization Mission:
Education With An Apron: I help primary educators make ALL subjects globally relevant, authentic, and FUN so that students grow to be independent workers and critical thinkers.
When did you become established?
I've been teaching since 2006, and launched my business in 2011.
Sometimes, getting started is the hardest part. What helped kick it off for you?
If I can get in the "why not me?" headspace, that tends to help. If I know I have a skill set that other people don't, then I know whatever I put together will be helpful to others. If other people can grow their business by meeting needs, why not me?
How are you celebrating BHM?
By taking up as much space as I can. At the airport, store, sidewalk... it's BHM, so you need to know I'm here!
How can BBN and our audience support YOU in your future endeavors and work in the community?
I would love to connect with parents looking to supplement lessons taught at school or would like to share my picture books with their kids. If you know someone, send them our way at @apron_education (on all social platforms).
